FearGrid: Global Market Dashboard
A free market dashboard with its own Fed-data index
What it does
FearGrid puts world stock indices, FX, commodities, crypto, Treasury yields, and sentiment on one free screen, no signup. Its centerpiece is Market Signal, a composite market-conditions index I compute myself from public Fed data, not a copy of any commercial index. I've published the full methodology, including an early mistake that pinned the score between 53 and 69 for three years straight. Also 40+ original guides, each with a hand-made diagram, no stock photos.
A global market dashboard for world stock indices, FX, commodities, crypto, bond yields, macro data and market sentiment, all on one screen. Free, no sign-up.
FearGrid is a dashboard that gathers global markets onto one screen through the lens of 'fear and greed.' Stocks, rates, FX, commodities, crypto and market sentiment are usually scattered across many places, but they sit here together, each explained in guides we write ourselves. The 'Market Conditions' panel at the top is our own indicator, computed directly from the US Federal Reserve's public data (FRED). It combines the yield-curve spread, credit spreads, volatility and market sentiment into one summary of the market's temperature right now. It isn't a copy of any single institution's index. It's public data synthesized our own way. You don't need to memorize numbers. Skim the market…from feargrid.com

- IBI built a tool to find trading signals that aren't just random luckSep 2025 · hikaro.app · ▲9
Hi HN, I'm a solo dev and for the last few months I've been building Hikaro, a tool to find statistically significant trading signals for [e.g., US equities, crypto, forex]. I built this to solve my own problem: I was tired of backtests that looked great on paper but failed in practice. Simple metrics like "win rate" can be misleading, so I wanted a way to quickly tell if a signal's performance was genuine or just noise. Hikaro ingests daily market data and runs statistical analysis on various trading signals. The goal is to surface signals with strong properties, like: Low p-value: Evidence…
- TATradeSight – a Rust-powered market risk dashboard with AI analysis2024 · tradesight.live · ▲5
I built TradeSight (https://tradesight.live) as a lightweight market risk indicator that combines real-time data with AI insights. The backend is written in Rust, with a vanilla JS frontend for maximum performance. It aggregates data from multiple sources (FRED API, Yahoo Finance) and uses Claude's API to provide detailed market analysis. Technical stack: - No login required - static page with hourly updates - Rust backend for efficient data aggregation - Vanilla JavaScript frontend for minimal overhead - Claude API integration for real-time market analysis - Data sources: FRED…

I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
