Share with the fediverse!
This is an idea I’ve been thinking about for some time, and can be considered a spiritual successor to one of my most popular projects, Simple Sharing Buttons Generator . I'm prototyping a fediverse sharing button. Anyone interested in giving it a try? One of the great, defining characteristics of the Fediverse is that it is on numerous, autonomous servers that all work together. You can follow other users on other servers — but sharing links to profiles and posts can be tedious. You can view the content on the origin server, but you need to be on the server hosting your account to boost, favorite, or follow. Much like how the mailto: link opens your preferred email application to let you email anyone, fedv.link links are designed to easily open ActivityPub posts and profiles in the end user's preferred server.

Screen Sharing in the Browser2024 · github.com · ▲219Seeing all the hype around Bolt.new, I decided to give it a try, and within just 30 minutes, I built a fully functional web app for screen sharing. How It Works: - One user opens a room and receives a unique code. - Participants join by simply entering the code to view the shared screen. After that initial build, I moved the project to Cursor to continue iterating and enhancing its features. Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
