A period tracker with nothing to leak
What it does
Every other period app uploads your most private data to a server. feelings doesn't have one. No account, no cloud, no analytics, your cycle is encrypted and stays on your phone. Nothing to sell, nothing to leak. Track flow, moods, symptoms. Read past notes from yourself. Get honest predictions (never more certain than the data allows). Export a clean PDF for your doctor. Pay once, $14.99. No subscription. Your body isn't a revenue stream.

Hey HN, after the app I actually used to track my period wanted me to log in and save my data in the cloud, I decided to write my own. Most apps in this area are based on a subscription model and display far too much information anyway. For me, a simple calendar is enough where I can add a few notes if necessary. So that is the result of my work - a simple design and the data is only saved on the smartphone.

There’s something quietly unsettling about how normal it's become to hand over our most personal data to apps that barely deserve our trust. My wife once showed me a notification she got from her period tracking app. At first, it seemed like a simple reminder. But then came the ads. Not long after, she started getting eerily specific suggestions on other platforms. Things she hadn’t searched for. Things that felt too close. Somewhere, her cycle had been turned into a data point. That bothered me more than I can explain. These apps promise helpful insights. But in return, they take so much.…
- MAMoodTrack, a simple iPhone app to track your moods and thoughts2012 · ▲43
I've often wondered whether there are any patterns or cycles to my moods so I built a simple iPhone app that occasionally pings me to ask how I'm feeling on a scale of 1 - 10. I also note down what I'm thinking or doing at that moment and automatically grab my location. I use the data to show some basic statistics on how I've been feeling on average over the past three days, past week and since I started tracking. There's also a graph of my moods over time. I'd love to get feedback on whether people would find something like this useful. I'm curious about what other things people would want…

Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!
