fileGOD
Just got tired of uploading passports, tax forms, and business contracts to iLovePDF and others after I've read they all store data. That made me built fileGOD. PDF compress, merge, split, and image conversion that runs entirely in the browser. There is no server endpoint that accepts file uploads. The processing pipeline uses WASM and runs on your device. We've ended up with full platform with 30+ pdf, image and utility tools. Would love feedback on quality of the tools you use and overall UX.
fileGOD launched on June 9, 2026 with 3 votes, #6,658 of 22,647 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches.
What it does
Every online file tool uploads your documents to process them. fileGOD doesn't. Compress PDFs, convert images, resize, merge, split, strip metadata, generate QR codes: 37 tools running entirely in your browser. Open DevTools and check: 0 requests, 0 bytes sent. So browser-lean that it works offline. Smart compression presets for email, WhatsApp, government forms, and web uploads. 25 languages. Open source core. Your files stay exactly where they belong, on your device.
Free online PDF and image tools. Compress, convert, merge, split, resize and more. All files processed in your browser for maximum privacy.

Talanoa▲343Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
