Firetower
Run coding agents on your own servers, from anywhere
Firetower launched on September 28, 2026 with 79 votes, #369 of 8,042 launches that month and more than 95% of that year's launches.
What it does
Open-source control plane for coding agents. Run them on your own servers, attach from a browser or a phone, review the diff and ship the branch. Self-hosted, no account.
Give Firetower a machine you can SSH into and a repository. It picks a host, cuts a branch, makes a worktree, starts tmux, launches the agent and keeps it running. Then it does the part that actually costs you time: it tells you the moment it stops being useful without you. Read from your trackers as you look. Starting one opens a workspace. The agent runs on your server, not on the device you started it from , so every device can pick up exactly where another left off. It never ran on the laptop. Open Firetower on any other device and the conversation is exactly where you left it. Each agent is on its own machine, in its own worktree. When the server comes back it catches up on everything…from usefiretower.com

I'm a heavy Codex/Claude Code user, and I wanted to hand off tasks to agents like I would to an engineer - kick something off before work, let it scaffold while I'm at lunch, even come back to a ready PR. The problem: existing alternatives use workspace VMs that are black boxes. I have no access to any of them - they can't run tests, read logs, or use tools like the Playwright MCP (which I use to verify agents actually fixed what they claim to fix). Replicas gives agents real cloud workspaces where they can: - Run your test suite and read the…
