Float AI: Superhuman for Slack
Claude Imagine generates software dynamically - no predetermined code, just adapts to what you need. That made me ask: why doesn't Slack work this way? Slack forces predetermined channels. You join #marketing, now you get pinged about everything from brand strategy to pizza parties. The structure is static, your work context changes constantly. THE PROBLEM: I was drowning in 50+ channels, checking Slack 60+ times daily. Tracked my time: 2.5 hours/day just PROCESSING messages, not working. WHAT I BUILT: Float applies the "Claude Imagine philosophy" to Slack: - AI creates dynamic inboxes…

What it does
Slack, but focused. Float AI auto-prioritizes messages, cleans the clutter with a split inbox, summarizes threads, and pings you only when it matters. Ask Slack anything with ⌘K and get cited answers, not search results.
Float uses AI to filter 87% of useless Slack messages. Free trial, no credit card. Join 300+ teams saving 4.5+ hours/week.
We rebuilt messaging from scratch, focusing on software building humans and agents. Experience Float's powerful topic-based messaging system on desktop for the best interactivefrom website.float-chat.com

Integral 2024 · integralhq.com · ▲760i've been a power user of slack/discord and etc. since i was a kid and i dont like the fact that they get unusable/noisy after 20 members join. so i designed integral to get rid of the 2 biggest causes of noise on slack/discord and similar apps: 1. channels 2. recency based feed i've replaced these 2 with a few subtle features (different approaches for business vs communities). check it out and let me know what you think :)

The site hit #1 on HN about a year ago. Got enough traffic that I turned it into a proper API. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
