What it does
Folders File Manager is designed for users who recently transitioned from a PC as well as for those who have always missed a tree-style file manager on their Mac.
Folders is a macOS file manager with a real folder tree — the power of the macOS filesystem, in a familiar shape. Free 14-day trial, one-time purchase, lifetime updates. Download the DMG or get it on the Mac App Store.
Finder’s sidebar is a bookmarks bar. Folders gives you one persistent tree — drives, network shares, every cloud service, tags, recents, favorites — that you expand in place and order yourself. ⌘X to cut. Return to open. Folders first. A path you can click into and edit. A new document created right where you are. Years of muscle memory keep paying off. Finder shows you a folder, the tree shows you where it sits. Seeing the bigger picture is how you stop feeling lost in a new operating system and gain a deeper understanding of details. Get everything you’d expect from a file manager, with the most used functions brought to the top. Undo any file operation including replacements and folder…from foldersapp.dev
