Frontend Fuzzy Search
I have spent several years working on search engines in the backend and have now utilized that experience to develop a fuzzy search library for the frontend. It's fast, accurate and can be used for all languages. It should be easy to integrate into your Javascript / Typescript projects. If you test it and find any edge cases that did not work for you please let me know. The implementation is based on 3-grams by the book, augmented with a novel trick of sorting the characters within the 3-grams for enhanced accuracy. For a detailed explanation you may refer to my related blog post at…
In plain words
Frontend Fuzzy Search is a JavaScript and TypeScript library for implementing fuzzy search functionality in web applications. It works across all languages and uses a 3-gram based algorithm with character sorting for improved accuracy. The library is designed for easy integration into frontend projects and emphasizes fast, reliable search performance. It was built by a developer with extensive backend search engine experience.

Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…
