Free Car Information And Assistance!

What it does

Hello, this website was designed and built by me as a free resource to assist or help others that can't afford a mechanic or even people who love a good DIY. In this website you will find things such as a fully working vin decoder, a forum to discuss topics and such if needing help or anything of that choice & much more. All data is pulled from the NHTSA and the EPA. IF ANY BUGS ARE FOUND, PLEASE REACH OUT AT [email protected].

Web page that parses and explains the label on a bike tire2022 · fahrrad-tools.de · ▲631

History: Last year I had to replace the tire on my bike, and I was surprised how difficult it was to find a suitable new tire. There were a lot of numbers written on the casing, so I googled what they meant. In the end I was successful, but I didn't want to do the same work again for the next bike after I've forgotten the details. So I wrote this website. Technically, the web page is kept very simple, no frameworks, no templates, no website builder. It uses HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, and it privides a responsive layout for mobile usage. I'm happy to receive feedback. If you have tried the…

    CheckAnyPlate – Free License Plate to VIN Decoder2023 · checkanyvin.com · ▲48

This started as a project to scratch my own itch and has grown from there. Initially I wanted a way to easily see if potential funny license plates were available in a given state, but I've also started using it at car shows when I'm curious which engine or transmission is in a car. It most cases the plate can be matched to a VIN using DMV data, and then some information about the vehicle can be decoded into basic car specs You can also purchase a full vehicle history report which uses data from the NMVTIS and other services to show accident history, previous titles, and salvage issues. The…

Hey folks! A bit of background: I'm a software engineer by trade, but I'm currently on sabbatical doing a year-long working holiday in Australia. I love riding bikes but only had the most beginner-level knowledge of them before I found a job at a bike shop. This was a fun personal project to try to capture some of what I've learned so far, targeted at fellow beginners. It's going to be incomplete/lacking if you already have some bike knowledge, but I hope you all enjoyed it all the same. Please keep the feedback coming; it's late in Australia, but I want to make sure the bike info is at…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
