In plain words

Gather Town is a virtual meeting platform that combines video chat with interactive 2D spatial worlds. Users create custom environments where they can gather for work meetings, social events, or casual hangouts. The platform emphasizes spontaneous connection by allowing participants to move avatars around spaces and interact naturally, similar to being in a physical room. It serves remote teams, event organizers, and communities looking for more engaging alternatives to traditional video conferencing.
