Ginger: Better Team Discussions
Hi everyone, we (Lincoln Loop) are a development/consulting shop launching our first product, Ginger. Our team is spread across many time zones and has an aversion to disruptive/ineffective meetings. We've been looking for a tool that can help us have discussions and share information without interrupting our developers while they are in the flow. Email, Basecamp, Google Wave, and IRC all came close, but always fell short in some critical manner. We built Ginger to scratch our own itch hoping it scratches some of yours too. https://gingerhq.com Sign up is 1-click (Google/Facebook) or just a…
What it does
In the maker’s words, at launch

- MBMorning Brief – Track any topic on HN, Reddit and others2021 · ▲38
TL:DR - https://morningbrief.ai/setup Hi, HN -- We're two indie cofounders who bootstrapped a new product to scratch our own itch: there's so much great content out there, but it's hard to find it. Sites like HN serve us like-minded people, but there are many more topics in other non-HN niches. Our idea is this: an email you get once a day, filled with only top articles (posted to HN, Reddit, etc) that match your specific interests. You can specify which interests, and how many links you want. Ranked by our signal score. To start, we built an ingestion engine. In the first few…

You use Twitter, Facebook as well as email to communicate with your customers? With all these different services, it has become very hard to manage and keep track of all the conversations happening. My co-founder and I noticed this some months ago and asked people how they would like to handle this. And so we have come up with a new solution. We launched into public beta about two weeks ago. The problem was: We had a very hard time explaining to people how we help them and why that's relevant. We were too technical and nobody really understood exactly what it was that we did. So we took a…

Hey HN, I'm a longtime reader and this is my first Show HN (exciting!) It's a collaboration between me and two friends, and we're building this upon another app we made called EmailYak, an API to receive email. We're trying something new and releasing the documentation to an app while we're still building it. We'd love feedback. Do you belong to any of these categories? 1) You've built an app with two distinct groups of users (say, people with cars and those looking for a ride) and they were able to communicate with each other. Did you expose personal email addresses? Did you send…
