Glimpse

Study every time you pick up your phone

What it does

Glimpse puts your flashcards, quizzes, and study material directly on your iOS home screen as a widget. Instead of opening an app to study, your cards rotate throughout the day. Tap to flip, swipe to advance. Import files or upload notes and generate cards with AI. Build decks on the web and everything syncs to your phone. Schedule different content for morning, afternoon, and evening. Also supports todo lists, quote boards, countdowns, and daily trivia. Free with a generous limit. Built solo.

    I built FlipCards – a flashcard app with variations to improve learning2025 · flipcardsapp.vercel.app · ▲42

Hi HN, I’m Felipe, a 9-5 developer aiming to become a full-time indie hacker. I struggled with flashcard apps that focus on decorating cards instead of learning concepts, so I built FlipCards to solve that problem. What it does: FlipCards lets you: - Create cards for any concept (math, language, coding, etc.) - Add multiple variations per card – the more variations, the better your understanding - Study smarter – the algorithm randomly selects variations so you can’t just memorize Q→A patterns Why it’s different: - Most apps use reverse cards (Q→A, A→Q). FlipCards uses variations to…

  • Hey we are Computable. We spent years building trading infrastructure at Jump Trading and Coinbase. From that point of view, compute looks like energy markets before 2000: everything trades through private bilateral leases, there’s no visible price, and nothing can be resold. The same H100 rents at a 2x spread depending on who’s asking, and once you sign a 24-month lease, it can never change hands. So we built a market for GPU nodes, sold by the calendar week. Here are three things you can do on it that you can’t do anywhere else: - Buy exactly the weeks you need. Three nodes for the last…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
