What it does

Glimpse puts your flashcards, quizzes, and study material directly on your iOS home screen as a widget. Instead of opening an app to study, your cards rotate throughout the day. Tap to flip, swipe to advance. Import files or upload notes and generate cards with AI. Build decks on the web and everything syncs to your phone. Schedule different content for morning, afternoon, and evening. Also supports todo lists, quote boards, countdowns, and daily trivia. Free with a generous limit. Built solo.

Upload your notes and syllabus to build a study plan with milestones and spaced repetition. Take your flashcards, quizzes, and fill-in-the-blank cards with you on iOS.

Glimpse builds study cards from your notes: flashcards, quizzes, and fill-in-the-blank. Run a full practice session on the web before an exam, or review a card from your home screen while waiting for coffee. Upload your lecture notes and syllabus. Glimpse extracts key concepts, creates study cards, and builds a schedule around your exam dates with spaced repetition. Upload PDFs, slides, lecture notes, or paste a YouTube link. Add a syllabus and Glimpse auto-creates milestones for your quizzes and exams. Key concepts are identified, linked to source material, and organized by difficulty. Study cards are generated automatically. Spaced repetition prioritizes what you need to review. Milestone…from myglimpseapp.com

I’m building Decks, an application where you create study decks that consists of notes, flashcards, YouTube videos, and ChatGPT conversations. Notes and flashcards can be attached to YouTube videos. And your ChatGPT conversations are searchable and organizable through tags and folders. The concept is that this is study application where you can keep all your materials related to a subject in one place. Would appreciate any feedback you might have. Thanks!

Hi HN, I’m Colin and I’m building Komihåg (https://komihag.com/), to make it as easy as possible to remember things you read. Just select any text on your iOS device and share the selection with the app, this will transform the shared text into a Q&A flashcard using LLMs. You can then scroll through your decks of cards in the app, or create a widget that displays your cards continuously. I got the idea while reading machine learning books. Sure I could create Kindle bookmarks or copy paste interesting parts, but I noticed that I never really took the time to revisit them, so…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
