What it does
Gram is an open source platform that enables your team to build MCP servers that perform. Start with your API, add context, refine prompts, and compose custom workflow-based tools until LLMs are executing reliably in production. Start building for free!

Gram FunctionsNov 2025 · speakeasy.com · ▲119Hi HN, Georges from the Gram team here. We're really excited to share a major update to Gram, our platform for curating tools for agents, in the form of Gram Functions. Gram initially started out by letting users upload OpenAPI documents and turning them into tools that can be curated into small MCP servers that power your agentic use cases. We've known for quite some time that many existing REST APIs are simply not suitable as LLM tools and we wanted to solve this problem by letting users simply write code and we would take care of deploying that code for them and hosting MCP servers. We…
GuMCP – Open-source MCP servers, hosted for free2025 · github.com · ▲79Hello! We open sourced all our current MCP servers to platforms like Slack, Google sheets, Linear, Perplexity and will be contributing a few more integrations every day to the project. problems we're hoping to solve: - Many people are creating MCP servers for the same apps. They're scattered across different repos but flavors of the same thing. We're making one standardized mono project for all MCP servers. - Startups are charging for hosting MCP servers. This is blocking tons of people from being able to play around with MCP casually. We're hosting them for free. - Non-technical people…
A "Codebase" as an MCP Server2025 · github.com · ▲20We built a reference MCP server that lets your editor/agent learn a codebase directly from source (signatures, types, AST, comments). Docs are optional. The reference impl runs on our open-source project’s codebase. Why we built it Docs are important, but they add another abstraction layer between your code and your users. Keeping them at the right quality is hard (especially at a startup), and LLM-generated docs are often mediocre until you invest real polish. Exposing code to the model in a structured way keeps answers grounded and current, and it’s always available. You can even…

Large Language Models (LLMs) are powerful, but they’re limited by fixed context windows and outdated knowledge. What if your AI could access live search, structured data extraction, OCR, and more—all through a standardized interface? We built the JigsawStack MCP Server, an open-source implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that lets any AI model call external tools effortlessly. Here’s what it unlocks: - Web Search & Scraping: Fetch live information and extract structured data from web pages. - OCR & Structured Data Extraction: Process images, receipts, invoices, and handwritten…

The site hit #1 on HN about a year ago. Got enough traffic that I turned it into a proper API. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
