Mobile AR spatial design design for real spaces

What it does

Graphite 3D turns your iPhone into a full CAD workspace — in augmented reality. Sketch walls, furniture, and structures at 1:1 scale in the actual space they'll occupy. Walk through your design. Collaborate with someone standing next to you over peer-to-peer, no account required. Export to STL or USDZ. Most AR apps let you place objects. This one lets you design them — with snapping, precision tools, and a depth cursor that locks to real surfaces.

Graphite 3D — AR spatial design for iPad and iPhone. Design for real spaces.

Live screen recording. Three Graphite 3D devices in view: the two collaborators' and the camera capturing the scene Built for the iPhone you carry and the iPad in your bag — a 3D modeller designed from the ground up for mobile form factors , not desktop CAD squeezed onto a phone. Pull it out when you need to think in space; put it away when you don't. An empty wall. Living room behind a couch. The space you're designing for. Draw a 3D box at true scale where something should go. Label it: “Shelving on rails with nice lighting.” The system generates a preview in the actual room — at the exact scale, lighting, and angle of the box you drew. And then — the actual built result. • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up.
