From the sources
Just send us a Username or UUID. The UUID can either be plain or dashed (though we will redirect to plain). Usernames may be deprecated in the future and are more susceptible to rate limits. For basic usage, provide a username or UUID in the user field: https://minotar.net/avatar/ user You can also set a size. We use pixels and only need the width . Just add it to the end. https://minotar.net/avatar/ user / 100 And because some services require an extension, we've added simple support for it. Just add .png to the end. https://minotar.net/avatar/ user .png https://minotar.net/avatar/ user / 100 .png Sometimes you want to display a helm too, that's fine with this endpoint:…from minotar.net

A javascript library that allows easy manipulation of the favicon to include nice looking alert bubbles. This means that users can pin your site and still see when their attention is needed! It's been done before, but in my opinion not in a way aesthetically pleasing enough for production use. This library also falls back to the standard number in page title approach for browsers that do no support canvas / dynamic favicons. Thoughts welcome.
