What it does

Easily output ASCII tree from Go program or Markdown unordered list . There's also CLI tool that can output tree from JSON, YAML, or TOML! It's called *xtree*. - ddddddO/gtree

Gree – go lib for making trees like the 'tree' command2024 · github.com · ▲6I'm always looking for easy ways to visualize data from CLI so I built something I couldn't find an existing solution for. a := gree.NewNode("root") a.NewChild("child1") a.NewChild("child2").NewChild("grandchild1") fmt.Println(a.Draw()) Makes root ├── child1 └── child2 └── grandchild1 Curious if others find it useful
Lstr – A modern, interactive tree command written in Rust2025 · github.com · ▲227Hi HN, (First time poster!) I'm the author of `lstr`. I've always loved the classic Linux `tree` command for its simplicity, but I often found myself wanting more modern features like interactivity and Git integration. So, I decided to build my own version in Rust with a philosophy of being fast, minimalist, and interactive. It was also an excuse to help learn more about Rust\! Here's a quick look at the interactive mode: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bgreenwell/lstr/main/asset... I've just released v0.2.0 with some features I think this community might find…
ggc – A terminal-based Git CLI written in Go2025 · github.com · ▲65Hi HN, I built ggc (https://github.com/bmf-san/ggc), a terminal-based Git CLI tool written in Go. ggc provides: - A fast interactive UI (like `fzf`) for common Git operations - Traditional subcommands (e.g. `ggc add`, `ggc commit`) - Git-compatible config support (`ggc config` reads from `git config`) - Built-in aliases and workflow automation (e.g. `ggc addcommitpush`) The goal is to improve developer productivity by combining interactive workflows with scriptable CLI operations. It's still under active development, but I'd love feedback from the community! GitHub:…

I ported Tree-sitter to GoFeb 2026 · github.com · ▲222This started as a hard requirement for my TUI-based editor application, it ended up going in a few different directions. A suite of tools that help with semantic code entities: https://github.com/odvcencio/gts-suite A next-gen version control system called Got: https://github.com/odvcencio/got I think this has some pretty big potential! I think there's many classes of application (particularly legacy architecture) that can benefit from these kinds of analysis tooling. My next post will be about composing all these together, an exciting project I call…
Ggc – A Git CLI tool written in Go with interactive UI2025 · github.com · ▲44A while ago I shared an early version of ggc, a Git helper I built in Go. Since then the project has grown quite a bit, and I’d love to share the latest updates (v6.0). Repo: https://github.com/bmf-san/ggc Install: - macOS/Linux: `brew install ggc` - Go: `go install github.com/bmf-san/ggc/v6@latest` - Homebrew: `brew install ggc` - Or grab binaries: https://github.com/bmf-san/ggc/releases Features: Dual modes: Traditional CLI commands (ggc add, etc.) and interactive mode (launch with just ggc) Intuitive command structure:…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
