What it does
Habit of the Day is different because it’s consistency‑first, not streak‑first. It replaces streaks with a Consistency Score + Grace Days, so missing a day doesn’t reset your progress or trigger guilt. It has a rotating habit discovery feed and structured “habit ideas” pages, so you don’t have to invent habits yourself. It encourages one meaningful habit per day, with Tiny Habit mode and wellbeing check‑ins (mood, sleep, stress, energy) so the focus is on how habits feel.
Build habits that stick. Consistency Score instead of streaks, grace days, tiny habit fallbacks, and a curated discovery feed.
Full glass before your first coffee. Steadies morning energy. Habit of the Day is a free daily habits app for people who want lasting routines without streak anxiety. Discover new habits in a curated feed, track your Consistency Score , use Grace Days for rest, and fall back to a Tiny Habit on hard days. Great for goal tracking, productivity, health, and self-improvement. Explore habit ideas , read the blog , browse features , or check the FAQ . Streaks punish a single bad day. Identity doesn't. Habit of the Day is built around who you are becoming — not how many days you've gone without slipping. Miss a day. The next day still belongs to you. Habit of the Day pairs tracking with discovery.…from habitoftheday.com

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
