Highring

One Job. Multiple Vendors. One Hiring System

What it does

Highring is India's recruitment vendor management platform for IT companies. Post jobs once, all vendors notified automatically. CVs screened by AI, duplicates flagged, interviews scheduled, placements tracked all in one place. No more scattered emails and spreadsheets. Free for companies. Vendors pay a small subscription. Built by a team that felt this pain firsthand and could not find a solution. So we built it.

There are existing HN job aggregators, but I thought we could take it a step further. Inspired by an insightful comment on a previous thread (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36163021), I built a tool that aggregates job postings and intelligently categorizes them based on user-specific preferences: * Country and remote work preferences * Employer type (e.g., startup, corporation, government) * Industry * Technologies used * Role type (developer, architect, product owner, etc.) * Salary range (where available) One of the superpowers of LLMs is reformatting information from…

  • Hey we are Computable. We spent years building trading infrastructure at Jump Trading and Coinbase. From that point of view, compute looks like energy markets before 2000: everything trades through private bilateral leases, there’s no visible price, and nothing can be resold. The same H100 rents at a 2x spread depending on who’s asking, and once you sign a 24-month lease, it can never change hands. So we built a market for GPU nodes, sold by the calendar week. Here are three things you can do on it that you can’t do anywhere else: - Buy exactly the weeks you need. Three nodes for the last…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
