Automated video screenings to improve your hiring process

Hirevire launched on July 11, 2023 with 233 votes, #144 of 4,347 launches that month and more than 95% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 3 years on.

What it does

Are you wasting time interviewing candidates you're never going to hire? Hirevire's automated screening software lets you collect video, audio and file responses from candidates. Join hundreds of companies that have enhanced their screening and hiring process.

One way video interviews. Every applicant answers the same questions you wrote, so you shortlist on what they said. $49 to $249 a month, published on the pricing page.

Seventy people apply. You hear from all seventy, in their own voice, answering the same questions you wrote. Then you send the hiring manager one link. 7-day trial, no credit card. Plans are $49, $149 and $249 a month, and all three prices are on the pricing page. No sales call to buy. Cancel the month you hire. The number was more than you have approval to spend, and they will not come down. So you live without the feature, or you switch before the contract renews. Mike Garner runs a recruitment agency for customer support teams. He asked his previous video interview tool for search across resumes and transcripts, and they quoted him $3,000. He asked us. It shipped in ten days, and he pays…from hirevire.com

I saw this [0] pretty cool thread by user revskill, and wanted a quicker way to search through it, but also to keep them all in one place so I can read them at my leisure whenever I get time. Right now is like 60 lines of Ruby using Nokogiri, but I will certainly look into it further down the line and improve the list. There's a cronjob checking the thread every 12 hours but I will eventually shut that down and it will become static after that. There are some really awesome blogs in there. I really recommend going through the list, it made my day. [0] "Could you share your personal blog…
