Home-Sanity
Home maintenance app I built because nothing else existed

What it does
I built HomeSanity because no app existed to help me proactively maintain my home before expensive repairs blindsided my family's budget. HomeSanity walks you through adding every asset — vehicles, appliances, systems — auto-generates maintenance tasks, and keeps your whole family in the loop. Full maintenance history stored in one place. Exportable. You don't realize you need this until it's too late. Don't wait for the expensive lesson.
Track and manage all your home maintenance tasks in one place. Vehicles, appliances, home systems, lawn & garden, and seasonal safety.

HouseTrakJan 2026 · housetrak.app · ▲5Hi HN — my wife and I built HouseTrak out of frustration. Every time something broke or needed maintenance, the info was scattered: notes app, photos, emails, spreadsheets, reminders. There wasn’t one place to keep everything about our home. So we built HouseTrak — a simple iOS app that keeps maintenance, projects, assets, and important home details in one place. One app for everything about your home. It’s intentionally minimal and focused on being useful, not clever. Would love feedback, especially from homeowners: How do you currently track home maintenance? What’s missing from tools…
HomeSheet – easy-to-use home inventory software2022 · homesheet.co · ▲156Hi HN! I've spent the last few months building HomeSheet - The all in one tool to track your personal assets. I built HomeSheet to make organizing and documenting my belongings a breeze. I've always wanted to put together a home inventory to protect myself in the event of a disaster, but I never found a solution that I liked. Right now HomeSheet is in early access, and I'm still working on determining what additional features users would like. I'll be around in the comments if you have any feedback, questions, or just want to say hi!

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
