In this example we will look at how to debug AWS Lambda functions with Visual Studio Code (VS Code) using SST . SST allows you to build and test Lambda functions locally using Live Lambda Development . This means that you can attach breakpoints and inspect your Lambda functions locally, even if they are invoked remotely. By default, our app will be deployed to the us-east-1 AWS region. This can be changed in the sst.config.ts in your project root. The code that describes the infrastructure of your serverless app is placed in the stacks/ directory of your project. SST uses AWS CDK , to create the infrastructure. The code that’s run when your API is invoked is placed in the…from serverless-stack.com

I made a local development, debugging and hotreload tool for AWS Lambda2022 · github.com · ▲111MerLoc is a live AWS Lambda function development and debugging tool. MerLoc allows you to run AWS Lambda functions on your local while they are still part of a flow in the AWS cloud remote. MerLoc makes it possible to - test your function locally without deploy to the AWS Lambda environment (so no wait for build, package and deploy) - debug your function by putting breakpoints from your IDE - hot-reload updated function on your local automatically to apply changes automatically (so again no wait for build, package and deploy) - run the individual function locally while it is still part of…

Httpdbg – A tool to trace the HTTP requests sent by your Python code2024 · github.com · ▲200Hi, I created httpdbg, a tool for Python developers to easily debug HTTP(S) client requests in Python programs. I developed it because I needed a tool that could help me trace the HTTP requests sent by my tests back to the corresponding methods in our API client. The goal of this tool is to simplify the debugging process, so I designed it to be as simple as possible. It requires no external dependencies, no setup, no superuser privileges, and no code modifications. I'm sharing it with you today because I use it regularly, and it seems like others have found it useful too—so it might be…

Talanoa▲343Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
