HyperCrypt
Device-bound encryption that eliminates password fatigue
What it does
4 years ago, I started building HyperCrypt because users kept forgetting passwords on my event platform. Everyone said "just use AES" and "you're wasting your time." I kept building. HyperCrypt uses device fingerprinting for auto-decrypt on YOUR device. No password needed for yourself. Other devices? Requires password or won't decrypt. 4 years later: comparable security, unique features, production-ready. Launch special: 20% off with code LAUNCH20 Try it: https://hypercryt-11fae.web.app/

Google’s recent announcement of a proposed ‘Device Bound Session Credentials’ feature[1] for Chrome reminded me of a project we worked on last year at my company. We focus on fraud prevention at signup and login (preventing multi-accounting and account theft), but some customers were concerned about post-login security and asked us to add a session hijacking prevention feature to our fraud prevention API. In the end, we decided to just implement a solution in Javascript. We call it session-lock, and it can be used today across all browsers[2] and, theoretically, native mobile apps. For a…
- DDDevicePrint – device fingerprinting without cookiesJan 2026 · ▲21
Hi HN, I built DevicePrint after running into problems with duplicate accounts and unreliable cookies in my own projects. DevicePrint is a lightweight device fingerprinting tool designed for developers. It helps identify devices across sessions without relying on cookies. Use cases include fraud detection, preventing duplicate signups, and security-sensitive workflows. I'd really appreciate feedback — especially around privacy concerns or edge cases you’ve run into. Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
