Hypernovum is a free, open-source Obsidian plugin that turns your vault into a navigable code city where you launch Claude Code, Codex, or any CLI agent with full context. The optional Pro desktop app does the same for your real dev folder — with isolated worktrees and merge review, so agents never touch your code without your sign-off. Every project is a building. Git activity is weather — active repos glow warm, stale ones cool down. One glance replaces twenty terminal tabs.   This is a weekend project that spiraled out of control. I was originally trying to get Claude to play a ROM of the SNES SimCity. I struggled with it and that led me to Micropolis (the open-sourced SimCity engine) and was able to get it to work by bolting on an API. The weekend hack turned into a headless city simulation platform where anyone can get an API key (no signup) and have their AI agent play mayor. Agents are grouped into "buildings" that run in a sequence or a loop; e.g., the CodeForge has an agent that writes a PRD, another one that implements, and a third that reviews.
