Hyvor Talk – a better way to add comments to blogs

What it does

In the maker’s words, at launch

Hello HN! I'm Supun from Hyvor Talk ( https://talk.hyvor.com ), a commenting platform for websites. First, to be clear, Hyvor is the startup I'm building and Hyvor Talk is the first product of it. Here's how it started. I'm a PHP dev and I did a blog a little while ago. When it came to adding comments I…

Hi HN, We are super excited to launch our second SaaS product, Hyvor Blogs. We (a small team of 3) have been working on this for about a year. After a bunch of testing, feedback, and iterations, here we are at the launch. We are trying to build a blogging platform that has all the features you need to run a blog without having to depend on plugins (themes, SEO, multi-language support, tags, team management, etc.). Most importantly, it’s just a blogging platform - not a site builder - not a membership platform. Overall, it’s been a great learning experience working on Hyvor Blogs. We’d love…

Hey HN, maker here. It was a serious 4-6 months of effort to build this. I have never poured as much love, attention and detail into a project before. So I really appreciate you having a looksie! The homepage has a fresh list of articles every hour and is open to all. Still, I recommend signing up so you can add stuff to your reading list and follow blogs. My initial plan was to monetize this with subtle ads, but that didn't work out as the traffic to the site isn't nearly enough for that. That said, I have a fair bit invested in this and I need your help figuring out a way to make this…

I asked an HN member for feedback and she blew my mind2010 · slideshare.net · ▲453

A few days ago, I responded to a comment by bloggergirl offering to read anyone's web copy and help. I shot off an email hoping for a paragraph or two of feedback on my startup's copy. Instead I received a professional, detailed deck of tons of invaluable well thought out feedback. It must have taken her an entire afternoon. Here's a link to it: http://www.slideshare.net/shereefb/recommendations-for-bettermeans To top it off, this isn't someone with a lot of free time on her hands, she's only days away from launching her own startup (page99test) This community blows my mind!
