In plain words
I Built a Museum Exhibit is a life and fun application launched in May 2026. It allows users to create and design their own museum exhibits. The tool is designed for anyone interested in curating collections, organizing artifacts, or experimenting with exhibition layouts. Users can build custom displays and arrange items as they would in a real museum setting.

I audited Designing for Curiosity in my final semester at Georgia Tech. The first half was seminar-style, working through foundational papers in design. At the midway point we got to talk about some of our learnings and I gave a presentation on Subverting Expectations . The second half was a group project where we designed and built a museum exhibit in partnership with the Children's Museum of Atlanta , for the toughest audience there is - children. It was a wonderful experience: to build something with my hands, to design a product with a tight feedback loop, to combine art, craft and technology, and to have it be received with such wonderful exclamations as “This is dope” . I made a new sensor out of 3D printer filament for my PhD2024 · paulbupejr.com · ▲886Here's a "behind-the-scenes" look at my development of a cool sensor during my PhD (electrical engineering). This sensor is only about 1/3 of my total research for my degree and took about a year. I've been on HN for a while now and I've seen my fair share of posts about the woes of pursuing a PhD. Now that I'm done with mine I wanna share some anecdotal evidence that doing a PhD can actually be enjoyable (not necessarily easy) and also be doable in 3 years. When I started I knew I didn't want to work on something that would never leave the lab or languish in a dissertation PDF no one…

Parallel agents, diff reviewer, and multi-model comparisons

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
