I do nothing in my dayjob for 95% of the Time so I made this
I had the problem of having a boring office job, where im not busy at all, i sit in an office and my bosses keep walking around. And i also enjoy scrolling (twitter) . So to fix this i made a simple free Chrome Extension to make it look like a PDF file. And here i made a little landing page for it. (am proud btw) : https://xdisguise.com/ So i made this :)
I do nothing in my dayjob for 95% of the Time so I made this launched on June 2, 2024 with 34 votes, #795 of 4,672 launches that month and more than 90% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 2 years on.
In plain words
This free Chrome extension disguises web pages to look like PDF files on screen. Designed for office workers with downtime, it allows users to browse while appearing to view documents when supervisors pass by. The extension runs locally in the browser and was created to address the boredom of understaffed desk jobs where supervisors frequently monitor activity.

Hey HN, this is a small project I created that blurs your browser window whenever you start slouching. I'm sure it can be improved, but I wanted to put it out there in case anyone was interested. Links to the github repo [0] and the extension on the Chrome Webstore [1]. I'd love to get some feedback on it. [0] https://github.com/killa-kyle/posture-posture-posture-chrome...
