These are zero-power hackathon badges I designed for the overglade hackathon in singapore! They're powered by the RP2040 and have passive NFC and an onboard e-ink driver! The PCB is a simple, 2 layer board with ground fills on each layer. I also CAD'ed the shapes and art of the board to make sure everything was perfectly symmetrical! The board is really easy to setup! Just plug it into your computer via USB-C, drop in the Pi Pico micropython bootloader and then upload the firmware using Thonny to the devboard! You can modify the config.json to add your own personal details, and change the images by replacing the bitmaps (I like to use Magick for this)! The boards are really easy to get…from github.com

I decided to go a little crazy and make some cool 3D alchemical-cosmological badges. It's 3 PCB's stacked on-top of each other that's connected using testpoints on each board. The innerboard has a 10 cent CH32V003 MCU that powers the WS2812B neopixels on the outer rings using the testpoints and shines through using exposed soldermask.
