I recreated a flying toasters screensaver for XScreensaver
"After Dark" by Berkeley Systems was a collection of screensavers for Macintosh and Windows from early 90s; "Flying Toasters" is probably the most famous and loved among them. Using my very limited knowledge of C and X11 programming, I recreated it as a XScreensaver module for Linux. Hope you find it useful or at least amusing!
I recreated a flying toasters screensaver for XScreensaver launched on April 12, 2023 with 80 votes, #912 of 4,853 launches that month and more than 90% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 3 years on.
