What it does
Rhythm is an experimental Durable Execution framework that can resume without replaying event history. It aims to make writing durable workflows intuitive and effortless. It has minimal hosting requirements and only needs Postgres. It will support multiple programming languages, each sharing Rhythm's embedded core engine written in rust. This project is in early access. It's usable but missing many features, and is not battle tested for production. Backwards compatibility is not guaranteed. It's exclusively recommended for evaluation or hobby projects at this time. Learn more. See below for setup instructions and examples in your chosen app language. // workflows/onboard_user.flow // run…from github.com

Everybody should create a practice repo2022 · github.com · ▲24Hi everybody, I personally found the best way to motivate yourself to program everyday is by creating a practice repo and by uploading anything you code up that day into this repo. This is a great way to stay consistent seeing the bright green light up every time you push your code. It's very addicting and satisfying, and has definitely made me a better programmer over the past few months.

Hey HN, This is a little web game called Epic Dev Battles of History. It takes public GitHub contribution stats (like commit counts, streaks, activity levels) and uses them to simulate a retro arcade-style battle between two profiles. You can enter your GitHub username and challenge a friend or colleague, try the online matchmaking, or pick one of the pre-loaded profiles as an opponent. After the battle, it shows a breakdown of the stats used. It started as a fun side-project to visualize GitHub activity in a different way. You can play it live here:…

Talanoa▲343Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
