InstantGradient

Hi HN, I think mesh gradients are cool, I use them a lot, probably too much. So I made a simple tool that puts one behind my screenshots. No watermark, no sign-up, I just paste my screenshot, select my current favorite color palette, I add an unhealthy amount of grain texture, and hit "copy". Lots of aspect ratios available. I also made a Canvas tool to make more advanced designs with optionally transparent background. Do check it out and tell me what you think

What it does

Turn color palettes into animated mesh gradients. Hit spacebar, generate harmonious palettes, see them render live as flowing WebGL shader gradients. Lock what you like, shuffle the rest. Export in 4K, MP4, CSS, Tailwind, or React. 4,900+ named color pages. Community palette library. REST API to use our data and algorithm from your own app. No account needed. Just open and start.

Create and export amazing mesh gradients, free. WebGL-shader rendering, palette generation, 4K image, MP4 video, React, and CSS export, everything in one place.

Everything you need to create and export amazing mesh gradients. Five animated shaders, any palette you like, exported as image, video, or code, all in one window. This is the whole editor. Open it and start with the spacebar. Hit generate and get a harmonious palette. Lock the colours you love, regenerate the rest until the whole thing clicks. Switch shaders on the same colours to find the right vibe. Silk, wave, mesh, liquid, stripe. Paste hex codes or upload an image. The gradient inherits your palette automatically. Instagram story, LinkedIn banner, 4K hero, phone wallpaper. 32 presets, plus custom dimensions. Preview the gradient as a hero, a card, or a phone wallpaper before you…from instantgradient.com

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
