What it does
Native macOS app for browsing commits, comparing branches, viewing file history and resolving conflicts with a powerful 3-way merge tool.
A precise Git diff and merge tool for macOS.
Browse commits, compare branches, and see how a file changed over time. When a merge gets difficult, JuxtaCode surfaces the context and gives you a precise three-way editor to finish the job. David Smith , maker of Widgetsmith, Watchsmith, Pedometer++ and Sleep++, found JuxtaCode worked better for the way he reviews his code changes. Move through the timeline in the sidebar to inspect fully expanded changesets with syntax highlighting. Select any two commits or branches for a focused side-by-side review. Open a file to follow its complete history, even when it has been renamed or moved. Search commits by message, hash, branch, or tag, then filter files by name, type, or kind of change.…from juxtacode.app

JuxtaCode – native Git diff tool for macOS2023 · juxtacode.app · ▲19I wanted to make a native Git diff tool that works "stand-alone" in the sense that you just need to point it at a repository and then you can select commits to compare and open files in a 3-way-merge tool. I've been finding it useful to have one app I can quickly switch to for comparing branches and sorting out merge conflicts.

Talanoa▲345Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
