What it does

Being a founder is hard. Most startups fail because the founders threw in the towel. Keep Going sends you regular motivation in the tone of voice of your favorite entrepreneurs, to help you not quit when the going gets tough

A retro pixel character who lives on your desktop and reflects how your side projects are going. No network, no accounts, no guilt.

Momentum Mascot is a retro pixel character who watches your side-project activity and simply feels what is going on. Commit, edit, or mark a project as operating — they respond. Drift and they doze, then sleep. Come back after a long silence and they leap out of bed. It reads two things from each repo: your latest commit and your latest file change. No messages, no diffs, no scores. Last commit under 24 hours. They are at their desk, working. A real commit after a sleep. They leap out of bed to celebrate. A 64×64 desktop pet floats over your workspace as a small ambient signal. Click it to open the room. Drag it to snap it into another corner. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
