KillBounce
Email verifier that actually handles catch-all domains
KillBounce launched on June 9, 2026 with 5 votes, #2,466 of 22,647 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches.
What it does
Three-layer email verification with a real SMTP probe not regex pretending. Built because the $80/month tools couldn't handle catch-all domains on Google Workspace (anti-enumeration tricks every regex-and-DNS approach into a false "accept all"). KillBounce opens a live SMTP session with the recipient server and reads the actual response. $4 per 1,000 credits. Pay-as-you-go. Credits never expire. Public legal stack at /trust for procurement.
Pay-as-you-go email verification. Validate addresses with three-layer SMTP probing, catch-all and disposable detection. From $4 for 1,000 credits.
Syntax → DNS/MX → live SMTP probe. Each layer eliminates a class of bounce that the layer above misses. Accept-all servers get their own verdict. In-session probe distinguishes real mailboxes from anti-enumeration. Drop a CSV, TXT or XLSX. Dedupe + status polling + segmented CSV download. Up to 5M addresses per job. Your list is not our list. Encrypted transit + at rest. Results deleted on request. No resale, ever. Three vital signs on a 50K list at a 12% bounce rate — before and after a single verified send. No subscription. Credits never expire. Credit-back guarantee if we say valid and it bounces. A worked example — sender score modeled from 92 to 8 across four weeks, benchmarked against…from getkillbounce.com

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
