What it does

In the maker’s words, at launch

http://impressar.io Another 'scratch your own itch' MVP, bear with me. I'm a long-time telecommuter, and my gig-hunting success depends on two critical elements: an email cover letter that is visually appealing, and a corresponding portfolio landing page with content tailored to that specific email. Last year I…

  gig-finding app for freelancers2012 · impressar.io · ▲8

My (revised) MVP - the concept is to put all job-finding activities in one app: job search/listings, emails/replies, resume/portfolio pages. Automate the searches, have an email editor that sends out themeable HTML emails, know which recipients are interested, and point them to a portfolio site of sorts. Briefly, the main features: * Aggregates jobs via job board APIs based on skills (searches twice a day) * Includes Twitter job search, displays linked content in-app * Email editor/sender (can be scheduled), with HTML templates * Email analytics (track clicks and views) * Preserves email and…

  our MVP landinggear.me for building landing pages2014 · ▲5

Hello HN, www.LandingGear.me is designed specifically for building single page landing pages. Our first MVP got a good response with a few hundred people visiting and downloading templates. So we've taken it to the next level of development, added more features and functions and added an option to pay. We're now wanting to get a little more validation and feedback. Would you mind please having a look and posting your feedback here? thanks! Anton Winter

  I built a tool to A/B test promotions to maximize conversions2024 · smartsalebanner.com · ▲7

Hey HN, I've just begun my solopreneur journey. I've been a "serial starter" - often starting projects and never seeing them through, and I have finally finished my first project! Maybe this sentiment resonants with some of you, let me know in the comments below I built this tool as a simple no-risk method for turning more visitors into customers by A/B testing your sale promotions and automatically displaying the promotion with the highest conversion rate. Did you know that increasing your conversion rate by just half a percent can have a dramatic impact on your sales without needing…

  How I built a self-driving (RC) car.▲300

I have been taking Andrew Ng's Machine Learning course. The lecture module on Neural Networks ends with an intriguing video of the ALVINN autonomous car driving itself along normal roads at CMU in the mid 90s. I was inspired by that video to see what I could build myself. A link to my incomplete write up was posted a couple of weeks ago (ouch!) but I finally finished it and open sourced the code tonight (so you can build your own self driving car). What do you think? http://blog.davidsingleton.org/nnrccar https://github.com/dps/nnrccar
