Compare programming language health over time
LanguageHealth launched on December 12, 2017 with 98 votes, #421 of 2,482 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 8 years on.
What it does
LanguageHealth is an easy way to compare programming languages based on how healthy they are over time. There are many tools out there for charting programming language popularity, but they tend to use metrics that I don't find very useful. LanguageHealth looks at the fraction of open-source commits to projects in a language.

Codigo is a site I've built for discovering, exploring and comparing programming languages, including language news, trends and code examples. I couldn't find any definitive resource for finding new languages and comparing them, so decided to make one. It combines dynamic data from sources like PyPL Index, TIOBE Index and official feeds as well as static data about each language defined in a structured format. The language data is open-contribution and can be updated by anyone on the GitHub repository: https://github.com/codigo-langs/codigo. I styled it specifically for…
On-Call HealthFeb 2026 · oncallhealth.ai · ▲116We built On-Call Health because our industry has gotten very good at keeping systems healthy, but does little for the engineers on call managing them. On-call can be rough: 97% of engineers experience stress during incidents, 87% after, and 56% experience sleep disruption even without getting paged. We integrate with devtools like Rootly, PagerDuty, Linear, Jira, and Slack (for self-reported data). The tool doesn't provide a diagnosis, but it surfaces signals that a team or individual might be struggling. It's free to use and open-source (we also have a hosted version with mock data if you…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
