What it does
LightBuddy lives in your Mac’s Menu Bar and allows you to add an adjustable ring light around your display. Unlike the built-in feature Apple added in macOS 26.2, LightBuddy supports macOS 14 Sonoma or later, works on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and doesn't require an Apple-branded display.
LightBuddy adds a virtual ring light to your Mac display so you look better on video calls. Works on macOS 14+ and Intel Macs.
LightBuddy lives in your Mac’s Menu Bar and allows you to add an adjustable ring light around your display. Simple idea. Surprisingly effective. If your room lighting casts shadows, a gentle front light can make a real difference. LightBuddy turns your display into a configurable light source — no need to rearrange your desk. LightBuddy isn’t tied to a specific camera app. Turn the ring light on/off from the Menu Bar whenever you need it. Use a ring light on each connected display, or just one. Create interesting lighting setups with multiple displays. On HDR-capable displays, LightBuddy can push the ring area brighter than the rest of the screen, so you can keep your display comfortable…from lightbuddy.app

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
