LootCalc

Drop rate and EV calculators for loot-heavy games

LootCalc launched on May 11, 2026.

What it does

Drop rate, expected value (EV) and gold per hour (GPH) calculators for OSRS Barrows, WoW Delves, Diablo 4 Helltide, and Path of Exile with optimization guides.

Free probability, guarantee, progress, resource, and batch-accounting calculators for 15 games, with visible inputs, model limits, and sources.

Build a scenario from a documented rule or values you can verify in game. LootCalc separates fixed-rate math, guarantees, progress counters, costs, and full-cycle timing so an estimate does not masquerade as private account data or a guaranteed outcome. Enter a fixed chance per attempt and the number of independent attempts. At a fixed 1 % chance over 100 independent attempts, the chance of at least one success is 63.40% . There is still a 36.60% chance of receiving nothing. Not for pity systems, hard guarantees, changing rates, weighted loot tables, or dependent events. LootCalc turns user-provided inputs and documented game rules into probability, expected-value, and pace estimates. The…from lootcalc.com

  • Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
