Buy the front page for $1 — link, text, image or video

What it does

The top spot isn't a listing — it's the whole page. Whatever the holder puts up (a link, a sentence, an image, a video) is what every visitor sees. Anyone can take it, or any position below it, by paying one dollar more than whoever is holding it.

mainstage.lol is a public pay-to-rank leaderboard for products and websites. Rank is decided by money, not votes or an algorithm: the highest bid sits at #1 and anyone can take it by paying one dollar more. Anyone can open a category board for $10 and start it at the top.

All three are optional — fill in whichever you want, at least one. Anything you leave blank simply is not shown. Sign in to link your listing to your account and edit it later. Horsetail Hair Embroidery: Traditional Art from China Silk wound around a single strand of horsetail hair. A 1,000-year-old art of the Shui people, made by hand in Sandu, Guizhou. A rank below can be outbid the moment someone pays more. A wall slot never can — once it's yours, it stays yours . Slot # 1 is $1 ; each one after costs more, up to $32,000 for thefrom mainstage.lol

Some people have called StreetEYE 'HN for investors', but it's a little different. You can go to Bloomberg, Reuters, WSJ, FT and hit a page with the most-read stories, but now everyone shares everything on social networks and blogs, so we can try to make one page with the most popular news across all sites and blogs - find the top people who share news, and combine algorithmic, professional, and crowdsourced curation to make the best front page across financial media. StreetEYE is more like a mashup of HN, Techmeme, Google News, Flipboard, Buzzfeed. For now, no comments or submissions to…

  • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
