What it does

MakerTime tracks your deep work like a fitness app for productivity. It runs in the background, captures your screen activity, and uses AI to score your focus level. You can tailor it for the nature of your work, set daily goals, and track your progress.

🤖 MakerTime is an OSX desktop application that turns your on-screen activity into insights via local or hosted Vision Language Models (VLM), Large Language Models (LLM) and OCR.

Track and improve how you work by using Al-powered software that observes your screen. This tool helps you stay focused and turn scattered bursts of work into more efficient and more productive work sessions. Designed for privacy, your data never leaves your machine. By default, no data ever leaves your machine. If you optionally configure OpenAI, your data will only be sent directly to the OpenAI servers, not to any intermediaries. By default MakerTime uses Llama3 running in Ollama . This runs directly on your Apple Silicon CPU, no external service required.
