Mark Scroll Positions
Hi everyone, I was getting annoyed when I had to leave a page and then needed to find where I was when I reopened it each time. So, I have just built a web extension to allow users to mark certain scroll positions for a page and then jump between them. I hope it can be of use to you as well.
Mark Scroll Positions launched on June 5, 2024 with 35 votes, #791 of 4,672 launches that month and more than 90% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 2 years on.
In plain words
Mark Scroll Positions is a web extension that lets users bookmark and quickly return to specific locations on web pages. When revisiting a page, users can jump directly to previously marked scroll positions instead of manually searching for their place. The tool is designed for anyone who frequently navigates away from long pages and needs to resume reading or browsing at the exact spot they left off.

Thus, when I re-open an essay, I often lose the original place where I was reading. And if I can remember where I was, then I manually scroll back there. This makes the reading experience less smooth and more time-consuming. I…from rugu.dev
