Markdown Ninja: open-source alternative to Substack, Mailchimp, Netlify
Hi HN, I've just Open Sourced Markdown Ninja (https://markdown.ninja), a Markdown-first CMS to publish blogs, documentation websites and newsletters. Our motto is simple: focus on what matters, we take care of all the technical details. Websites, Newsletters, privacy-first analytics, SEO optimizations, headless CMS. Everything is built into a single, unified platform. I've launched a few projects over the years and the first thing I always need to do is to setup a website for the documentation, a blog and a newsletter to keep people updated. I've *never* been satisfied with the…

I made a tool to clean and convert any webpage to Markdown2024 · markdowndown.vercel.app · ▲441My partner usually writes substack posts which I then mirror to our website’s blog section. To automate this, I made a simple tool to scrape the post and clean it so that I can drop it to our blog easily. This might be useful to others as well. Oh and ofcourse you can instruct GPT to make any final edits :D

I built an open-source web hosting platform for static sites2022 · github.com · ▲217HI Hacker News! I’m very excited to show you this project I have been working on, MarkdownSite.com. For folks who interact with the website, it is a web hosting platform where you can add your repository and have a website built from the `public/` directory. Files in `site/` with an `.md` extension are rendered from markdown to HTML, and the website is then available at a random subdomain. For folks that set up their own instance, it can also become a framework for customized building. The entire project is open source and I tried my best to document and explain the structure of…
FlowershowMar 2026 · flowershow.app · ▲174I'm Rufus, one of the founders of Flowershow. We love markdown and use it everywhere from making websites, to docs, to knowledgebases. Plus AI splits it everywhere now. Got tired of the framework/config/deploy overhead every time we wanted to share a file or put a site online. So we built the thing we wanted. Files in. Website out. "Vercel for Content" is our aspiration - make deploying (markdown) content as fast, seamless and easy as Vercel did for JS. Command line plus you can connect to github repos, use Obsidian via plugin, or drag and drop files. npm i -g…

Talanoa▲341Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Tapflow 2.0▲1,125We built Tapflow for devs, designers, PMs, and tech folks who’ve been sitting on internal docs, templates, and systems — but never productized them. Upload a PDF, notes, or workshop deck, and Tapflow drafts a structured product (with chapters, teaser and pricing plans). It’s good for AI kits, onboarding guides, design systems, and frameworks. You can sell through Stripe, LemonSqueezy, or PayPal. Real-time collaboration is in early beta. No site builder, no LMS — clean design and just focused tools to ship.
