Media Catalog Viewer

Visual file organizer with 10% video analysis mode.

Media Catalog Viewer launched on April 4, 2026.

What it does

Media Catalog Viewer is the "Missing Link" in macOS. Unlike tools showing "black thumbnails," our 10% Analysis Mode renders frames from the 10% mark for instant recognition. We unify your workflow by combining FFmpeg & QuickLook, treating Excel, PDFs, and "invisible" files as visual thumbnails. Organize everything via fluid Drag & Drop. It’s the "seemingly obvious, yet non-existent" tool for users who think in images, optimized for Apple Silicon.

Media Catalog ViewerはApple公証済みのMac専用写真・動画管理ソフトです。独自の10% Snapshot技術で大量のファイルを爆速整理。Notarized by Apple & Fully Optimized for Apple Silicon. Try it for free!

I am a developer. I have been building stuff for the last 13 years. One common challenge in all my projects is compressing assets to make them as small as possible. I used to end up using online compressors, but this has a lot of privacy concerns. So, I finally set down for couple of weeks and built this simple app. I can just drag and drop assets in it and it shrinks them. It currently supports around 25 file types. I built a lot of iOS apps but this is the first time building a macOS app, so any feedback is welcome.

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
