MediaLib

Ive been working on this for the last 4 months. Its a tv tracker, movie tracker, game tracker, whatever media people want tracker all in one app. At the end of november last year I tried to find a tracker for my tv shows. I watched a lot and Ive been doing so for like 15 years by now. There are 100% banger shows I watched at a random weekend in 2018 and totally forgot about. So I tried to find a solution to just have a simple list, but I didnt really like any of the existing solutions. So I am building my own. Especially rewatches or rereads are really mid on the existing sites. Been pretty…

What it does

Medialib is an all in one solution for tracking media. Similar to the likes of trakt, myanimelist or goodreads, but for everything. Anime, games, tv shows, books... podcasts, music albums, youtube videos. Why should I use 6 different apps?

Medialib is a place to track all your movies, books, games, anime & more in one place.

Add media to your library, rate them and write reviews. Follow your friends and discover new titles worth checking out. Mix books, games, and anime in your lists. Create collections that truly represent your interests. Clean design focused on what matters - your content and collections. Keep count of every time you revisit your favorite content. Perfect for rewatches and rereads. Get personalized suggestions based on your ratings and preferences. Your home page gives you an overview for new episodes about to drop for shows you watched or are currently watching. See where you can stream or buy tv shows, movies and anime in your country. Yes. Currently you can import from: anilist,…from medialib.net

In the maker’s words, at launch

Ive been building this all in one media tracker for about a year now. Starting to look like something I can be proud of. None of the existing solutions really spoke to me, so I built my own. You can track everything games, tv shows, movies, anime, books. Music and albums are already planned, but there really is no…

I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
