Memori
A free journaling AI that learns you, not your data
Memori launched on September 26, 2025 with 6 votes, #3,421 of 8,160 launches that month. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
Memori is an AI journaling app built from lived experience, not profit. Free to use, with a unique focus on aphantasia, it helps you reflect, grow, and own your story without paywalls or data grabs.
Capture who you are, shape who you'll become
Memori believes that journaling should be a deeply personal, reflective practice. In a world where our thoughts and memories are constantly harvested by algorithms, we're building something different. Your journal entries are yours alone. They live on your device, grow with your experiences, and help you understand patterns in your life without ever leaving your control. The pixelated aesthetic isn't just nostalgic—it's intentional. We're inspired by the simplicity and focus of early computing, when tools were built to enhance human creativity rather than extract value from it. Memori exists to give you a private space to think clearly in a noisy, distracted world. This isn't about endless…from memori-dusky.vercel.app

Memori – Open-Source Memory Engine for AI Agents2025 · github.com · ▲17Hey HN! I'm Arindam, part of the team behind Memori (https://memori.gibsonai.com/). Memori adds a stateful memory engine to AI agents, enabling them to stay consistent, recall past work, and improve over time. With Memori, agents don’t lose track of multi-step workflows, repeat tool calls, or forget user preferences. Instead, they build up human-like memory that makes them more reliable and efficient across sessions. We’ve also put together demo apps (a personal diary assistant, a research agent, and a travel planner) so you can see memory in action. Current LLMs are stateless…

The site hit #1 on HN about a year ago. Got enough traffic that I turned it into a proper API. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
