MetCount launched on January 12, 2020 with 72 votes, #537 of 3,486 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 6 years on.
What it does
The following modes are supported: AMRAP, EMOM, Rounds for time, Tabata. Workouts are logged to your Apple Health/Activities. If you have AirPods a live announcer will tell you important information about your workout.
Download MetCount by Brett Kuprel on the App Store. See screenshots, ratings and reviews, user tips, and more apps like MetCount.
Loved this app. Worded great. Got the Ultra and it no longer shows up on the ultra. Hope for an update some day. Loved this app. Worded great. Got the Ultra and it no longer shows up on the ultra. Hope for an update some day. If you start a workout using the Fitness app on watch, then start a timer in MetCount, it cancels your Fitness workout to log the EMOM. I can’t imagine anyone wants that behavior. Also, when using the announcer feature - MetCount reduces the volume of your music, makes the announcement, but the volume does not return to normal until you complete the entire workout, so it’s not really possible to use announcements and listen to music at the same time. Please fix this! Steps: Workout & PedometerMar 2026 · getsteps.app · ▲98Hey HN, I'm a solo developer and I built Steps: Workout & Pedometer, an iOS pedometer and workout tracker. Last week, two German iOS publications wrote about the app. I didn't pitch them. I didn't send a press release. I didn't even know it was happening. I woke up to a spike in downloads, checked the analytics, and traced it back to their articles. That coverage pushed the app past $1,000 in sales. I still have no idea how they found the app. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience getting featured in publications, whether organically or through outreach. What worked for you? Any tips…
