mitmproxy helper
Capture all mobile HTTP and decrypt HTTPS into mitmproxy
mitmproxy helper launched on September 13, 2022 with 1 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 4 years on.
What it does
Capture all mobile HTTP and decrypt HTTPS into mitmproxy, SSL/TLS certificates for interception are generated on the fly. It's easy for apps to skip the system proxy. The difference is this helper captures packets from the virtual network card.
Capture all mobile HTTP and decrypt HTTPS into mitmproxy, operating at the TCP/IP layer (non-system proxy).
Works at the virtual NIC level, not in system proxy mode, to prevent some applications from not going through the proxy. Finally, a way to pipe mobile traffic directly into mitmproxy without the hassle of system proxy configurations. It just works! I use it for testing our app's API interactions. The TCP/IP layer capture ensures I don't miss a single packet. Essential tool for my toolkit. Decrypting HTTPS into mitmproxy has never been this seamless on mobilefrom txthinking.com

Hi! I've been working on a child monitoring service and I'd really appreciate your input on it. The structure of the service is pretty technically interesting. It sets up a wireguard VPN on the child's Windows account, and then routes the traffic to our server. From there, we use mitmproxy to break open the TLS, inspect the packets, and then re-encrypt them. Currently all images are passed through an ImageNetV2 model, and for sites like reddit or google, individual links/communities are analyzed and we remove the content if it violates the filters without impacting the overall browsing…

Talanoa▲341Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

A couple of years ago, I had an interesting idea. What if there was a marketplace where all the underlying tech was open-source? The order management system, the storefront, customer support, etc. The marketplace would simply connect to the seller’s infra instead of locking them in. If, for some reason, the seller is removed from the marketplace, their software stays with them and they can continue accepting orders directly. This model can be used to disrupt any marketplace from AirBNB to UberEats: building tech for home renters and restaurants and later, leveraging that to build a competing…
