Mock Fill
I got tired of typing the same names, emails, and phone numbers again and again while building/testing forms — usually ending up with gibberish. So I built MockFill, a Chrome extension that auto-detects input fields and lets you autofill realistic mock data in one click (single field or entire form). It’s free, works locally, and doesn’t collect any data. Would love feedback from the HN community

Fake Filler2017 · chromewebstore.google.com · ▲137Chrome & Firefox add-on to fill input fields with dummy data

FakerFillOct 2025 · fakerfill.com · ▲6I built a browser extension called FakerFill to help developers and QA testers test web forms faster. It automatically detects input fields and fills them with realistic fake data (names, emails, addresses, etc.). The extension focuses on simplicity — there’s no data collection, and everything runs locally in the browser. You can also create and reuse custom templates, choosing which fields to fill and how they’re populated. Right now, it’s available for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. I’d love to get feedback from other developers — both on usability and ideas for future improvements.
FillApp2025 · fillapp.ai · ▲14I built a free Chrome extension called FillApp. It lets you fill web forms just by writing plain text like: “Ship it from @NorthDelivery to @WestflowLimited” It parses the form automatically and fills it with the right data, including tricky fields like dates, multiselects, etc. You can also save and reuse snippets across different forms. It’s completely free and works with most modern web forms. Would love to hear what you think.

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I built the world's most impractical 1000-pixel display and anyone in the world can draw on it. It draws a single pixel at a time and takes 30-60 minutes to complete a single image. Anyone can participate in the project by voting for the next image to be drawn, and submitting images. https://kilopx.com/

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…

I was wondering how I can arrange objects along a spherical helix path, and read some articles on it. I ended up learning about parametric equations again, and make this visualization to document what I learned: https://visualrambling.space/moving-objects-in-3d/ feel free to visit and let me know what you think!

For HTML Day 2025 [1], I made a web service that displays the current sky at your approximate location as a CSS gradient. Colours are simulated on-demand using atmospheric absorption and scattering coefficients. Updates every minute, without the use of client-side JavaScript.
