MolmoAct 2

What it does

MolmoAct 2 is an open Action Reasoning Model that reasons in 3D before directing robot actions, handles bimanual tasks without per-task fine-tuning, and runs up to 37x faster than MolmoAct. For robotics researchers and ML engineers.

MolmoAct 2 is a fully open robotics foundation model that brings faster, stronger 3D action reasoning to real-world robot tasks, alongside a major new bimanual manipulation dataset for researchers to study, reproduce, and build on.

In the weeks since release, MolmoAct 2 artifacts have been downloaded more than 400K times. Today we're opening the full code and training data behind the model: fine-tuning scripts, every dataset used during training, all of our evaluation rollouts, and the training recipe for the open source MolmoAct 2 tokenizer. Anyone can now adapt MolmoAct 2 to new hardware or extend it to different tasks. MolmoAct 2 inference and training are also now integrated into Hugging Face’s LeRobot platform , so teams already working in the LeRobot ecosystem can drop the model into their existing setup without retooling.
