In plain words

Moose is an open-source framework for developers building analytical back ends using ClickHouse. It provides tools and structure to streamline the process of setting up data infrastructure and analytics pipelines. The framework is designed to reduce setup complexity and accelerate development when working with ClickHouse as the underlying data engine. It targets engineers who need to quickly construct robust analytical systems without managing repetitive infrastructure tasks from scratch.

Define your experiment, lay out your tests, pick your agent, then let us do the work of managing infra and data. Run locally for free, or automatically parallelize runs at massive scale on managed infrastructure with AX Cloud. Every run starts from a clean, isolated sandbox, with your custom setup. No bias. No context pollution. No cheating. Test with Claude, Codex, Cursor, and more. Bring your own LLM keys, or use our managed agents at market prices. Agent transcripts, sandbox data, timelines and comparisons turn every simulated session into evidence you can inspect and share. Agent transcripts, OTEL logs, errors, commands: everything in the system recorded, versioned, and warehoused for…from docs.fiveonefour.com

Every data pipeline job I had to tackle required quite a few components to set up: - One tool to ingest data - Another one to transform it - If you wanted to run Python, set up an orchestrator - If you need to check the data, a data quality tool Let alone this being hard to set up and taking time, it is also pretty high-maintenance. I had to do a lot of infra work, and while this being billable hours for me I didn’t enjoy the work at all. For some parts of it, there were nice solutions like dbt, but in the end for an end-to-end workflow, it didn’t work. That’s why I decided to build an…

Hello! For the past year I’ve been working on a fully-managed data warehouse built on Clickhouse. I built this because I was frustrated with how much work was required to run an OLAP database in prod: re-writing my app to do batch inserts, managing clusters and needing to look up special CREATE TABLE syntax every time I made a change. I found pricing for other warehouses confusing (what is a “credit” exactly?) and worried about getting capacity-planning wrong. I was previously building accounting software for firms with millions of transactions. I desperately needed to move from Postgres to…

  • Hi everyone, I built PyXL — a hardware processor that executes a custom assembly generated from Python programs, without using a traditional interpreter or virtual machine. It compiles Python -> CPython Bytecode -> Instruction set designed for direct hardware execution. I’m sharing an early benchmark: a GPIO test where PyXL achieves a 480ns round-trip toggle — compared to 14-25 micro seconds on a MicroPython Pyboard - even though PyXL runs at a lower clock (100MHz vs. 168MHz). The design is stack-based, fully pipelined, and preserves Python's dynamic typing without static type restrictions.…
