In plain words

Mosaic is a front-end JavaScript library that uses a declarative approach to build user interfaces. Launched in 2019, it allows developers to construct UIs by describing what they should look like rather than manually implementing step-by-step instructions. The library is designed for web developers who want a more intuitive way to create interactive applications. Mosaic's declarative model simplifies UI development by reducing complexity in code structure and maintenance.

Backend APIs often grow into large orchestration classes full of duplicated calls and manual concurrency. I’ve been working on Mosaic, a Kotlin framework that composes responses out of small, request-scoped “tiles.” Each tile runs once per request, dependencies resolve automatically, and independent tiles execute in parallel without boilerplate. It’s still early (v0.2.0), but working today for caching, concurrency, and testability. Curious to hear feedback on the approach. A JavaScript UI library for imperative JSX2024 · npmjs.com · ▲41

I've been building a web UI library for a side project of mine. I thought it might be useful to others, so I'm releasing it as open source. To put it simply, I realized that most of my pain points with React come from its declarative model ui=f(state). So I'm trying something that I'm calling "imperative JSX." Instead of treating JSX as the source of truth for your UI, it essentially becomes a query interface for DOM manipulation. I first had the idea for it a few months ago, and only began writing it in earnest last week, so it's extremely early and nowhere near production-ready. Still, I'd…
